Kelso's Choices
Students will be learning about conflict management through Kelso's Choices. Kelso, the frog, teaches us to find out if a problem is big or small by asking, "Is it scary or dangerous?" If it is scary or dangerous, then it is a BIG problem and we ask an adult we can trust for help. If it is a small problem, we have 9 choices: tell them to stop; ignore it; walk away; apologize; share and take turns; talk it out; make a deal; go to another game; wait and cool off. We will be practicing these at school, but your support at home would be greatly appreciated! For additional information and/or resources regarding Kelso, please contact me, Mrs. Hart, or the Kelso website at www.kelsoschoice.com. |
Small ProblemsChoose one of Kelso's Choices on the poster. If that doesn't work, try another one. If the problem continues, tell an adult.
